One thing I have noticed and needs to be commended about Black Americans is whether they are light few shades from almost white, they still claim Black. In other parts of the world lightskin blacks like to claim their "non-black" ancestry every chance they get.

A couple years ago these folks was going crazy with the mixtures, I've seen folks dark as death claim to be 1/16 Cherokee or white.
Whenever you ask what race they are they be talking some "I'm 2/3 black, 1/20 Cherokee indian, 1/5 Cape Verdean , and my mothers step-sister is creole."
I hate those folks.

Cape Verdeans are African. For the most part they are mulatto. Portuguese mixed with African.
