One thing I did notice is that a lot of my signs are opposites with the cusp and that whole ascendant and descendant.With as much fixed energy (and signs, my Moon, Mars, Pluto, and Mercury are all fixed signs) in my chart, I'm not changing hahah! Thank you!! Stay cool
I bet it's your Virgo clashing. Earth and fire... Umm... Haha! That's weird too because my moon is Taurus, and it's what I need, but as far as the expression of who I am (blunt honesty--ask a Sagittarius--foot in mouth for sure) we will clash. Squared signs seem to clash more to me, than opposite signs! Have you noticed that? I think it might be an element (Fire-water/Water-air, Earth-air/Air-earth) thing though too.
Your cusps are supposed to be opposites! I think the only way that might not be true is with intercepted houses which is deeper than I can explain, but you can read about it if you'd like. It's basically where signs are missing in your chart so you have doubles of the same sign. I have leo/aquarius intercepted, so I have Sagittarius/Gemini, twice in my chart on the cusps instead of having Pisces and Virgo on the cusps to round it out. That's interesting. My Capricorn mom has a Pisces Moon and I have a Virgo moon. But I think its our suns signs that are the issue as opposed to the moons, because we mean well, and we get along it's just she has a issue with how I go about stuff, which could also be my Aries Mars. I think you know way more about it than I do lol. She's goal oriented with a set plan. You know me with Gemini and Aries can not do that. I start stuff but dont always finish. She just worries about me so much that she tries to control everything.

We "should" get along just fine because of me being heavy fire (Sag sun/asc/saturn/uranus) but we don't and I think it's because of my Scorpio mars. I'm not "trying" to be sneaky, I just don't feel the need to broadcast my every move. Do you know your mom's Venus sign? Venus is what we value and what we are attracted to in others... Maybe there's a clash there?! Moon is what makes you feel secure, so that you two have opposing moons could be a source of tension as well. Your mom is Capricorn so she's cardinal. Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) like to be in control and do. If she has any signs in any of the cardinal houses, (1, 4, 7, 10) that could be it, too! I have Venus and Mars in Cardinal houses (1 and 10--Capricorn venus, Scorpio mars) and I'm very much a doer. I like to lead, and sometimes I come off as controlling, but I don't mean to. I don't ever want to be the domineering type, so I'm glad I have some Libra (be fair--it's my 10th house cusp) to balance it out.
It is very odd. I think fire boils water, and in turn, water destroys fire, like throwing water on a flame. It just drowns it out. Need a balance with some earth and air!!

Youre totally right. But my Virgo helps me out some lol. Her Venus is Aquarius. I dont know her birth time but if it's near noon, she might have Aries/Libra intercepted.
