No way in hell is he more athletic than Cav Bron

LBJ-Dunk-vs-Bucks.gif

Dawg bron really did lose a step gad damn :wtf:

Imagine if Cavs bron had the jumper he had today :wow:

Anyway this video just tells me wiggins is the first pick, yea he's awkward and his handles are shaky but worst case to me he becomes paul gorge. also his first step is stupid fast, he's doing 360 not even trying.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
I'll say it again, if he ever develops a 1-2 dribble pull up, he'll be a force. His first step is elite, his jumper doesn't look nearly as broken as Bron's at the same age, and he has the length and lateral quickness to be a great defender.

There's no reason he can't be a top swingman in 4-5 years.

Physically, the only thing I question is his body control. That's what really makes Kobe special IMO. He might not need it though, T-Mac wasn't necessarily the best there. But like Tracy, dude has range. You can't teach that.

Breh, McGrady was like a 6'8 black panther or some shyt. His agility and fluidity was crazy, especially in his Orlando days.

As a lifelong Magic fan, I could post hundreds of examples. Not trying to derail the thread, though. Anyways, prime McGrady makes Wiggins seem like he just started playing basketball in terms of agility, fluidity, body control, etc.

Wiggins is still a long term investment, if your a "we want to win now or very soon" type of team you still go with Parker at #1. Cavs won't be picking Wiggins

The TMac comparisons are disrespectful

TMac had better handles and was a better passer in high school than Wiggins has after a year in college.

The Truth
I didn't see anything unimpressive in the entire video

Mid-range jumper seems wet... Offensive moves and handles he can work on and get better with in time.

Dudes explosiveness is crazy tho. Gets head level to rim with ease

He already has one. Wiggins literally had 3 go to moves in Kansas. Drive then a spin move, dribble pull up from mid and pulling up from NBA range 3. His real problems are his ball handling and finishing at the rim, and as he continues to improve those aspects of his game he'll become much more complete. His jumper was great in college, you could depend on him to hit 2 or 3 threes a game, but he was overall lackluster at the rim and creating his own shot.

Defensively is where he'll eat in his first year, he has a very unique body where even though he plays SG at average SF height, he has the longevity and explosiveness of a PF. He can become a defensive stopper at the NBA level, and it wouldn't be surprising if he racks up plenty of steals and blocks because of that longevity. Two-way players who are versatile are the future of this league, we saw it with Kawhi, PG24 and LeBron, so I think Wiggins will continue that trend. That said, his offense will take quite a few years to get where it needs to be, he won't be ROTY or anything.

Best point so far in this thread. I always say Wiggins barley knows how to play basketball. That's probably why he looks so "robotic" like everyone says. He lacks feeling and body control of all the greats he's been compared to. He's just learing an offensive game seems like, and doesn't know yet the type of scorer he'll be, but everyones expecting him to be the next Kobe, T-Mac, and even MJ :mjlol:

Like the post above said, Wiggins had like 3 moves in Kansas that he used often and pretty much worked:

the one dribble step back mid range.
the spin move in the lane
the pull up NBA range 3 pointer (when he was hot)

everything else was based off open court transition, cuts to the rim, rebounds, hustle points, etc where Wiggins doesn't need ot dribble much or think. Thats where he's best because he's just a freak athlete.

But right now it just seems like he's learing how to dribble and forming some go-to offensive moves that look like he's been watching too many JAMES HARDEN videos :whoa:. Yea some moves look good in a workout video but these same moves probably wont work right away in a real NBA game. That turn around jumper is pretty weak.:manny:

I'd be surprised if Wiggins comes out scoring 20+, knocking down jumpers, taking players off the dribble and breaking ankles but he'll be there in a few years with hard work and the right coaching. The problem is, after he goes #1 everyone will expect him to be the next Kobe, Lebron, etc....

Aside from his dribble he is AWFUL finishing at the rim in college where theyres 6'7 centers imagine in the nba? i dont remember any "elite" prospect having that much trouble finishing at the rim

While hes athletic and tested great he doesnt show the athletic ability on the court that he was said to have i see a very good not freakish athlete aside from his second jumps

Im sorry but going from a once in a decade prospect to now his ceiling is Paule George or Derozan is dissapointing imo

I bet none of yall will show your faces once he proves yall wrong...:ld:
Forreal. It's gonna be funny:russ:

That video was dope:whoo:. Wiggins working on his handle and jumpshot. Everything looking good as far as I can see. Still a little stiff but that's expected since these are new moves he's putting into his arsenal. More reps and experience and his movements should smother out. :pachaha:Y'all are sleep on the wrong one. He might not come into the league looking like prime Tmac or prime lebron but I'm tell you in 3 years when he's averaging 27-6-4 and is one of the best wing defenders in the league y'all will wake up:manny:. It's just a matter of time with wiggins.
