(1) A human is an animal like any other...Biologically animals have 5 goals in their existence Fighting Fleeing Feeding Feeling Fornicating (5Fs)...The only difference between animals is how they use their biology to obtain the 5Fs...

Humans have massive brains relative to other animals, so that's our number 1 weapon...Everything we do in life is ULTIMATELY to get more and/or better 5Fs...Why do we want to explore space, so that when we ruin Earth, we can go out there and achieve the 5Fs somewhere else...

(2) Monzygote a.k.a identical twins ARE clones...Their genetic material is 99.99% identical...Initially it is 100%, as life progresses, variations occur...

Therefore, your clone will have to be implanted in a woman's uterus...That environment is going to affect how the embryo develops...The woman's diet, habitat, physiology and biochemistry is going to affect that clone...

Since that woman and your mother are not the same and are not from the same environment, your clone will NOT be exactly like you...The clone will have different genetic mutations, and his organs will form differently...

(3) By the time the clone is born, it will be raised in a different social environment, although it may have the same predispositions as you, the environment is going to influence its development, and make it different...

(4) The point is, there won't be ANY way for the average human to tell who is a clone and who isn't...You will have to do genetic analysis to differentiate a clone from the original...

Plus, the clone will be much younger than the original, so they won't even look the same...Unless you are looking at the original's childhood pictures...

(5) Basically, all that social debate is pure NONSENSE propagated by Hollywood making movies with clones of the same age...Which just doesn't make sense unless they are identical twins...

(6) I believe humans have already been successfully cloned...Dolly the sheep was cloned 20 years ago...That's is long time for scientific advancement...A shadow scientist has probably cloned a human, and that human is living among us...

One day, when the scientist can't be prosecuted/persecuted, we will have the paper trail that proves that he/she successfully cloned a human being...

too many details go into forming an individual
a clone would basically be a remix
like a child made without actually fukking

Not that we have the tech to do it yet anyway, but I think cloning a fully conscious, sentient being is unethical. Plus there's no shortage of people in the world anyway as it is.

That said, I don't have any issue with using a person's DNA to clone their organs for medical use, I think that's a great idea. It'd be awesome if someone with Kidney failure could just send in their DNA and get a new kidney made from their own genetic material rather than having to find someone to donate one.

Scientists have tried it in the past but destroy them before they can fully develop , I'm pretty sure we already have a cloned person walking around
