I don't live in New York so I don't know how much of an impact he made over there so I'm curious. God forbid 50 dies tomorrow, do you think he will be looked at as one of those fallen soldiers of hip hop who blessed us with street poetry? shyt that will be timeless and still get played randomly at parties cause u know people fukk with it? He's made a few mistakes in his life like candy shop or magic stick but ignoring that, do u think 50 is a legend in the making?

No he definitely had an impact. He had 3 years where he was huge and another 2 as one of the 5 or so biggest rappers around. However, he does not compare when it comes to jay, based on the fact that 50 will only be remembered by 95% of hiphop fans for his 2003-2005 music

I hear you I have Jew-z above 50 myself, but I don't think the question was about Jew-z...hip hop is soft right now, but at least we had to wait 5 yrs for it to turn into what it is today. 50 held it down both on the mixtape circuit and on his albums.
