Can anyone give me any advice on the RIGHT way to go about things? Basically, to make a long story short payroll at my job owes me like, damn near 70 hours of back pay from as far as over two weeks ago. My knee jerk reaction is to quit on they ass, but if I do, ain't no telling if I'll ever get my money. Does anyone know of any labor laws, or have any experience in this type of shyt? These people are really working my nerves, but I'm not trying to get fukked over any further.....

Yes it is. Me AND my supervisor have emails and adjustment requests on file. We finally got in contact with the "head of payroll" and she claimed that everything would be here when I got paid this morning. I checked, to discover they didn't do shyt.

Calm down, first of all. Don't quit or do anything dumb. Ask your supervisor to send you something in writing with what you are owed and when you will be paid. If you don't get paid on that day talk to HR or union rep if you have one. If you don't call up your area's equivalent of a labor board.

I'm thinking I'll ask him if he'll send me the hour adjustment sheets. I actually have an email from the head of payroll stating that I would be paid today, so that may help as well. I guess the only thing left is to go to HR.....then the labor board....

to avoid shyt like this from happening again(it will, trust me) start acquiring other skills and knowledge towards opening your own business or freelancing
I actually freelance graphic designs (illustration mostly), but I haven't gotten to the point where I can quit everything else, unfortunately....

Go to HR right now and ask what's going on. It could easily be a simple mistake, could be a fukkup with the payroll company, could be anything.

I actually just got off the phone with my boss about this shyt. Pretty much someone at payroll is fukking up, shirking their responsibilities. It should be sorted out next week though...
