I can think of few occasions where I said this:
1. I wasn't as attracted to him as wanted to be--he didn't look as good as brehs I've dated, but had a great personality, so I had conflicts on how to proceed with him.
2. He was different from guys I've dated, as far as his personality goes--he was more nerdy/corny then what I was used to so it was a bit of an adjustment.
3. He's someone I wouldn't have normally dated, but gave a chance to because there was something about him that intrigued me.

In every case, but the first one, it was actually a positive for me, because they were so different I was more intrigued/engaged with them-- they introduced me to some new things and experiences which I appreciated and grew to like about them.

None of this is a good look for the breh.

A lil while back, I met this woman. A date, or 2 and a few conversations later, 1 night she ups and says:

I am to comfortable in my own world.

What do you think she meant?

I need more context. What was she saying leading up to her making that statement?

Huh? Why did you interpret it as settling. With the 2 and 3rd scenario I mentioned neither was settling. The second man was actually very attractive and was my type physically but I was used to certain Brehs and he was different, but I ended up learning a lot from him so he ended up being a game changer opened my mind up. The same for the third guy—who was attractive but not my type and he ended up giving me new experiences, which actually changed my type to men more like him.
It’s the men that are not my usual type that end up being the most memorable and usually end up being the new type of men I’m open to dating.
