Especially around 04-07’

Wonder what changed that, today you’d rarely see anyone rocking a platinum - let alone bragging about it.

What changed?

The price of platinum dropped exponentially in 2008, that’s right along the time when they went out of style in hip hop and street fashion.

But that’s also around the time of the financial crash so it might not mean anything :patrice:

Let me look up the price of gold

So it appears gold started to go up exponentially starting in 2007, right along when gold chains started to come back into prominence :ohhh:

But this is still a gross oversimplification because platinum has always been worth way more than gold. And still is, maybe the jewelers weren’t making that high of a premium so they convinced the industry to fall back:jbhmm:

It’s amazing how bad T-Pain is with money, this man should be a trillionaire

I came in here to say this, gold went up like crazy around that time, y’all don’t remember that they had whole commercials of people wanting to buy your gold? Gold was the hottest thing globally at that time…
