Online? Never. The gender war even extends to the White and Asian/Indian communities online albeit they tend to not put their business out as much as us.

At one point, as far back as the late 2000's when I saw the Black gender war play out online in some circles, I thought it'd be over by the time Obama got re-elected but it's 2022 and it's at an all-time high.

The problem is that the gender war evokes certain things that the Black community is addicted to like crack: Beefing with other Black people and ego tripping.

As a people, we tend to have tons of smoke for our own based on whatever flaws we have while looking at other groups through a rose-tinted lens. The fact that many "gender war" types will date trashy non-Black counterparts that they deem "upgrades" is proof of it. Latin America has the highest rate of single motherhood and out of wedlock kids on Earth but SYSBM types will make it seem like it's only a Black woman issue. Tons of non-Black communities have issues with male abuse/rape, fatherless homes, cheaters, unmotivated young men, etc. but divestors will make it seem like it's only a Black man issue. They both have a strong "grass is greener" mentality.

Then, there's the ego trip. Black men and women alike can be too obsessed with protecting our collective image and reputation. And I get it. We get demonized too much from outside forces so we love to fight hard to protect our image. But, at the end of the day, Black men are more responsible for our own downfalls than Black women. And the same holds true vice versa. It's only so many times that you can shift the blame of the Black community's downfall to just one gender. Both sides will make some valid points but fumble it by trying to play "Democrats vs. Republicans" with Black men and women instead of accepting that we both play a role.
