it’s funny cuz for me my whole life turned around when i was 27 and found god. and then really got serious once i got married a couple years later
i was a dikkhead with no direction or purpose other than fukking sleeping and getting money and wasting all my talents up until then

Being stuck in a dead end cable tech job. This is where having one or more good ass friends or family can help. People saw in me what I didn't see in myself.

I may go so far as to say the church has really done a number on black kids growing up. "Just have hope" "Just have faith". Sometimes reality doesn't work that way. The last church I went to was more than 5 years ago. You could have thought it was House of the Dragon/GOT, everyone plotting and scheming and talking behind each others back. The preachers word didnt move me, etc.

Difficult to say. I believe that all roads would've eventually led me to start questioning no matter the denomination. There are so many holes surrounding Christianity that for someone like myself, I would've began noticing the discrepancies the longer I stayed. It was inevitable.

Yes. It has proven to be really difficult trying to overcome lifelong indoctrination caused by these religious cults. It has taken a huge part of my sanity.

There are levels to religion. It definitely serves many purposes for many different people. I'll never knock someone who finds meaning and purpose through religion. It just all depends on what you're trying to get out of it.
