I live in a small town where most folks already married.

Feels like being an adult is just work and home.

I like to travel alone, and one thing I learned to do is to buy a pack of cigarettes.

I don’t smoke unless i’m drinking usually, but smokers outside of bars are always down to chill and shyt. I usually offer people a cig and break the ice that way.

otherwise i’d just find a hobby and meet people you have similar interests with.

I’ll also say, the pandemic has also made it harder than normal to meet people.

What's that like?

I've been thinking about traveling alone because I really need to get out.

Fun man.

traveling in a group is a great, but often times you find yourself making concessions. Skipping shyt you wanna do or doing other shyt you don’t wanna do.

traveling alone removes a lot of that. Do whatever you wanna do, leave whenever you decide to leave. Its much more flexible. Only thing I will say besides that is to plan as much as you can in advance because ubers and hotels are way more expensive when you don’t have someone else to split them with.

i’m actually flying to Florida by myself on Friday. But in my opinion being from out east the most welcoming cities have always been out west. (LA and Denver stand out)

Going out to bar and chilling in the smoking section is a great way to mingle with people. Go to the gym on the regular and some of the other frequent members will starting talking to you and vice versa. I really don't recommend work because a lot of your coworkers can be fake and put your shyt on blast to make themselves look better. It's harder to meet people now due to covid and I'm one of the few that doesn't do online dating or meetups. I like face to face interactions better to gauge people. Also, you have to realize that when you get older, you tend to make more associates than friends due to career, family obligations, moving to different locations, grow apart or just shytty with very little redeeming qualities . Try finding a lover who you can handle and do things when you are bored.
