I never understood the point of opening threads just to circle jerk. There's no variety of opinions, it's just pandering and speculation on what happened. Everybody agreeing with each other, few attempts to view from a different perspective. Just want confirmation for your opinions.

It became corny because a lot of the artists were frauds in it for pay. Not because Black people have low self esteem. When it stopped paying it stopped getting made, that tells you everything you need to know.
yup these threads go nowhere

Okay, I feel a hand test is necessary.

I put the word in quotes for a reason. I should've just said house music but it was one of those moments where the word was slipping my mind.

What if you're a grown man with kids?

:ld:

Teach them the difference between actual sincerity and being self serving for sanctimonious reasons.

That alone is more important than whether or not some rando rapping about being "real".

What I mean is stop looking towards motherfukkers like Hopsin or David Banner to be your moral baramoter when they themselves don't live by the creeds they spew.

nah man fukk this dumbass response

i tried to find that comment under "Sounds of blackness- optimistic" but the damn song is getting popular again so its buried under hundreds of comments

when a white guy from outside of our culture can say a song got him through suicide attempts and give him the will to live a full life again - thats powerful

and you muthafukkas know that our music can do that to people. quit downplaying and dismissing the power in it. :pacspit:

I'm not down playing shyt you sensationalists bamma.

This thread is just another coli round table on how "bu by black folk don't like\make positive music anymore:mjcry:". When you couldn't be more out of touch and extremely short sighted in declaring such a asanine statement.

:bryan:But you still rely on corporate radio for musicwhen arguable more people use Pandora, Spotify, TIDAL, SoundCloud and Bandcamp, hell even YouTube.

:bryan:But then again you the same dusty nikka who flipped shyt over Insecure and how it was "propaganda against black men" when you only saw one episode (if that) . I'm losing brain cells going back and forth with you shallow positivity dullards.

You didn't ask a question you made statement in regards to my post.

Not my fault you're just another lazy consumer that likes to piss and moan but make even the most minimal changes to produce the results you want.

So just because you like a song it should play and liked by everyone else?
