For the most part, I agree. Anime music is cheesy shyte.
With that said, some anime music is incredible. Samurai Champloo has the best music I've ever heard in a show, period. EVER. Even their selection of Japanese folk music in there....
Real shyt some of those songs will make you shed tears.Cowboy Bebop had some cool songs too. Full Metal Alchemist (the original 2003 show) had GORGEOUS classical music.
Fat Jon > Nujabes to me. This 624 joint is one of my favorite beats of all time. And when you hear it in context of the show (they use it in a particularly sad episode), it moves me every time.
This stuff is so beautiful. I can't watch this stuff without tearing up a bit.
FMA's OST is superb.
Champloo is truly a piece of artwork. The music, (Japanese) voice actors, setting, art..... impeccable. They story is while great can through people off if your just looking for point a to be stuff. Its just the adventures and lives of a couple of people, I think out of 20 plus episodes only like 7-8 actually dealt with the "main story"

real talk... Champloo changed my entire outlook on hip hop (and life in general). It mellowed me out. I started listening to beats really closely for atmosphere.
