I'm from the kiddie rap era of Illegal, Da Youngstas, Shyheim and even Kriss Kross. You can't compare Bow Wow to that, ironically Kriss Kross and Shad both had JD as a writer LOL, but it seems he was a much mature writer with Kriss Kross, probably because he was a kid himself.
Bow wow always could spit, that was never really a question IMO. Dude just never really developed an identity as a rapper.
