in the series of killa cam motif style records like get it in ohio, and killa was on killaseason.

cam always gives you the follow up series of record on time.
that take you back to what was dope on previous projects.

not to mention, cam has not been some supremely mixed and mastered artist either.

he is a combination of mixtape straight off the reel, to major label mixed record artist.
where eventually you will get the pristine version of the straight drop records off reel to reel.
he even takes chances to give you sampled records.
he could get violated for via lawsuit.
so, I really don't know how anyone complains, about cam'ron.

the people who complain about cam.
complain about shyt that he has never gave them in his career.

cam has always been a bside predominate artist.
anyone saying different has not been paying attention.

funny thing is, i was bangin some of crime pays like a week ago......and when "get it in ohio" came on, it felt just as epic as it did when i first saw the video.

@artbarr, I remember when Crime Pays first came out you made some brilliant posts about that album on the old Sohh board. You broke it down like a true hip hop scholar. It was so good I copy/pasted it and saved it to my email.

just doesnt sound mixed/mastered very well.

you have to have all the mixtape and submissions.
you put together in a playlist with the retail album.

i remember there was an unofficial mixtape that some DJ put together full of stuff that came had did around that time. it had me thinking that crime pays was gonna be epic. then the album dropped, and virtually none of that stuff was on the album.

only 2 or 3 cuts made the album. one of them being "my aura", which later became "we got it for cheap" after they had to scrap the hook cuz penz did it, which lead to them changing the song title, and the whole direction of the song, even tho the beat and verses were still in place. it was such a statement record man. the king of swag denouncing swag, and telling you to check his aura.

half of crime pays was still crakk tho. the other half of it, not so much.
