When the ***-dominated EDM world created a derivative-genre inspired by Trap, they called it....... Guess what?

Trap Music. :stopitslime:

Talk about theft. Then the producers have the audacity to use the taglines "Run The Trap" and "Real Trap shyt" at their shows. :aicmon:

Them ***s will go to any length to steal a culture that's not theirs, pillage and butcher the music, and pass it off as their own

:childplease:

Hip-hop fans should be enraged, but too bad we are already divided as ever (Thanks to the "Real hip-hop crowd")

But what are you going to do? Harlem Shake is a number-one single. Their mission is complete.

should 9th Wonder get shytted on for being a producer from the South that resembles Pete Rock?

Nah, I understand what you are trying to say.

But you are talking about a culture that is a polar OPPOSITE to the one it takes its influence from. You can't stop people from blending sounds and that's the driving force behind musical innovation.

I don't like the way they went about it. Took the name, the taglines, and musical foundation without even saying "Thanks" :heh:

not sure what u are trying to say but trap music is what keeping our movement afloat and nobody saying that we started it or whatever.

SD, Keef, 8TMG, Lil Durk, and many other up and coming Chitown rapper all give out many praises to Gucci, Waka, Future, ect so u can shove that theory away.

again.. not sure what this thread is saying but it just sounds like u are mad for no reason.

I'm not talking down on Chicago's Drill-scene. I actually pointed out that the Chicago artists have acknowledged that they take their influence from Southern artist's. The boundaries between Southern Trap and Drill music is blurred anyway. The difference are negligible tbh

The post in which I quoted you was referring to the Electronic Trap craze that has taken root in the past year.
