There are still social barriers in place in this country, especially in the top decision making circles. Wht wouldn't you root for a Black CEO to continue succeeding?

I said nothing about not rooting for a black ceo to succeed. I mean to be honest, I don’t give a fukk what happen with this man and his life, but of course, by default I wish him much success since he is black.

This thread is about using this as a deciding factor when having to choose between Home Depot and Lowes. This has nothing to do with that brother in particular. My point is, when making a decision like that, Im gonna look at customer experience and pricing as main factors, not which one has a black ceo, considering both of these corporations have little color overall on there executive org charts. One just has CEO that’s black. I look at these companies as equals. They got the minimum diversity they need to be diverse.

Personally, I am not gonna stop shopping @Home Depot because their CEO supported Trump nor will only shop @ Lowe's because their CEO is Black with a Black wife.

I will shop @ both places. Each place may have something I need that the other place may not carry, so I will keep my options open.

It’s crazy how Lowe’s and Home Depot are always within a mile of each other lol. I remember hating going to either store as a kid with my dad because I knew he’d walk around confused for 20 minutes before saying “let’s go to the other store.”

In my state there are ZERO Lowe's in the hood. Near maybe. Adjacent kinda.
But there's a Home Depot on 7 mile and Meyer
