Was just thinking about this the other night, but in relation to Australia. Seems that the US is more of a mix and hodgepodge of other languages European languages.

The British pronunciations of Vitamins and Schedule in comparison to the words itself looks like blasphemy

Though I am sure British have a few things to say about our shyt as well.

I haven't read the article yet, but didn't the British change their accent later on to distinguish themselves from the American accents?

Can't remember where I read that
