That "262 million" number is specifically the # of Twitter users outside the USA so it's literally completely irrelevant.

22% of Americans are on Twitter and less than half of them use it regularly. So you're talking about just 10% of the population and it skews young and well-off.

Also, just 10% of Twitter users (so 2% of Americans) are responsible for 80% of the tweets. So it's not remotely representative of what the average person is like.
Iowa exit polls showed only 19% of caucus goers use Twitter for news. It was 20% for New Hampshire.

262 million people are on Twitter the fukk are you talking about? social media is arguably the best way right now to canvass the fukk do you mean? And yes hiring negative attack dogs against candidates in your own party/ideology should be looked frown upon
There are more people in America then on twitter worldwide. No one cares that much, otherwise Bernie would be winning now.

more people are influenced by what's on MSNBC/CNN and other legacy media outlets than what's on Twitter.
Last i read(2018 reports) only 30% of the country which is lower for Democrats at best is watching cable tv news. So i guess by this logic cable news isn't a big deal we shouldn't complain

Why do we care if politicians supporters are mean on the internet?:stopitslime:

Most ppl ain't on twitter like that

This is the danger of Twitter and media being on it and growing up on it

False shytty narratives
there was an article explaining where this came from. it didnt start with bernie which proves the idea of "bernie bros" was mostly made up and fake to make bernie supporters look bad and it worked on low info voters who are primed up by msnbc, cnn.

it started with ...you guessed it Hilary calling out obama people. "obama boys".

From Obama Boys to Bernie Bros: The Creation of Twitter's Worst Attack Line

its not that there arent trolls online straight up trolling people. we know there are. and bernie has by far the most online support of any candidate so he will have more trolls too. but thats not the problem. when you hear hillary say this, or hillary surrogates say this, or establishment dems, or establishment media say it. they are not talking about actual trolls most times. they are actually talking about people like me. people that will come with the receipts when you tried to tell me Mayor Peter was an option, when you tried to tell me Bloomberg and Steyer were options, when you tried to tell me that biden is/was an option, or when you tried to lie and tell me that Bernie and liz are the exact same therefore bernie should drop out and let liz have it. The moment i say, "that is incorrect, and here's why." their reply is simply..."BERNIE BROS" which means, "i'm covering my ears, na naa nana naaaa... i dont want to hear anything you have to say because its counter to my belief system...i dont want to hear it, we are trying to push a false narrative and you're not allowing us to do that... therefore, i need to brand you with some negative thing to make regular people not believe what you're saying."

^^Thats why its used. it has very little to do with actual mean tweets and actual bernie trolls.

lastly, someone asked the other day looking at a video of TYT's Cenk almost tearing up over bernie probably going to lose another primary. and they asked is it that serious? i responded. of course its that serious. and thats the biggest issue here. You call me a bernie bro because i know its THat da... serious. you say sanders is yelling and being mean on stage, he should yell, he should be mad. millions upon millions upon millions of people are hurting not because the US doesnt have the funds to help them properly. its because we have a select few selfish people that want to hoard all the money and power for themselves. So when you hear some millionaire host on MSNBC saying a Lie about bernie or his policies and trying to prop up some clown like Amy K. they should get fire bombed with comments, replies, and facts. about why what they are saying is untrue/propaganda. and why they sound selfish pushing that narrative. if you can spout propaganda to millions of people so they vote against their own interest while you profit. you deserve to get lit up online. you're lucky they're not protesting outside of MSNBC and CNN.

Doxing and threatening employees/supporters is ok because @Rhakim know's one warren canvasser who acted like garbage

Notice - this is the sort of insanely disingenuous stuff that Loose was saying throughout the entire campaign. Anyone who can read knows I didn't say anything remotely like that. So why is he pushing that narrative?

And why did someone who barely even touched HL for the last 5 years suddenly start posting 5-10 anti-Bernie messages a day for the last month or two?

This sort of energy doesn't help anyone.

What are your thoughts on posting people’s home addresses online and showing up to people’s homes at night?

Nothing about my post is "anti-bernie", you're the one in here defending his supporters and surrogates whom have doxxed and shown up to peoples homes with disingenuous arguments. I guarantee you wouldn't be defending trump supporters showing up to people homes with nooses and torches. Garbage is garbage you would expect this type of defense in the TLR not HL

262 million worldwide.

1 in 5 US adults use twitter.
Of that, 6 in 10 are Democrats.
And, 80% of twitter traffic comes from 10 % of twitter users.
10 facts about Americans and Twitter

It's not a good gauge of American political or social opinion....at all. It takes a lot more work to canvas 350 million Americans than scanning that day's trending hashtags.

If people want to be snowflakes I guess you got to let them. Being effected by what someone said to you online is crazy to me personally but I'm also not on Twitter so maybe I can't relate. Although I do have a FB account I only use it to communicate with like 3-5 relatives who prefer to use that as the main communication platform which is weird cause they have my phone number. IG and LinkedIn don't seem to have this toxic element or at least I never ran into it. :yeshrug:
