When did book fairs get so expensive

Breh book fairs been crazy expensive since I was a Joey. I remember my mom just giving me 5 dollar expecting me to find a legit book. I'm like "I guess I'll buy a damn bookmark" Thankfully, I copped a Goosebumps book and was straight.

The only expensive book I ever bought from a book fair was 10 dollars and it was a Where's Waldo book.

How is this not making reading fun? Speaking as a father with 4 boys. There are a myriad of ways to make reading fun outside of the random overpriced book fair.

Its when you forced to read bullshyt. Them books aint fun...Moby dikk, Death Be Not Proud, and Sadokou and Thousand Paper Cranes....that book was good tho
