They really think dudes like Jeezy or whoever their fav gangsta rapper is doesn't smile, laugh, cry, act differently around their kids or their mama, or just act totally different off camera. They also ignore the fact that rap is poetry. These dudes are poets. They sit around for hours writing poetry. And poets are traditionally looked at as 'soft'.
It isn't even that though.
It's the bullshyt posturing from cats like Drake on top of people saying he's "being real" when he has his
moments just like Rick Ross.
I mean really how you can "start from the bottom" in a million dollar
upper class jewish neighborhood while spending your adolescent years playing a character on a popular television show all while earning hundres of thousands of dollars before switching it up and pursuing a rap career ?
I mean any sensible person knows 50 cent, Jeezy and the like aren't
mad all the time and in "I'm a gangster mode" every second or hour of the day but at least they don't have to front on record and lie about "starting from the bottom".
It's as if people will go any distance to defend drake and inadvertently shyt on Hip Hop.
On top of that "soft" and "emotional" are two entirely different words.
Poets express emotion, that doesn't necessarily mean they're "soft".
