1999 was prolly his last great year for movies...bowfinger was fukking hilarious and it aged wellThat was low key one of his best movies
When he ran across the highway for the movie scene

As a Coming to America aficionado (I can recite the entire movie from beginning to end), I liked the second one. It was a fun movie.
I know. And it delivered.Movie operated SOLELY on nostalgia. Nothing else
Knowing how LAPD do it may have been a setup...Eddie could've pulled something way more discreetly If he chose than how they said he was doing that's why I believe he was setup. That treh scandal hurt him for a minute..
If we going to keep it a buck..
I know. And it delivered.
Let's be honest. Nobody really wanted to see a sequel. The movie made the right choice to lean on nostalgia.
We ALL came in to see what Akeem and the wacky side characters were up to after 30 years. And they still found room for new characters. Wesley Snipes was hilarious.
Everyone did well, even Leslie Jones made me laugh. Plus they did more worldbuilding of Zamunda.
It was a movie made specifically for the fans of Coming to America.
He’s got three classics and i’d argue four with Life
2?!?!Life is classic no need to argue
Raw
Delirious
Coming to America
Boomerang
Nutty professor
Trading places
Beverly Hills cop 2
That’s 8 lol at 4 you must be crazy
leaving stand up and having to only play hollywood politics isn't goodYeah age isn't it. I think it might be that he never found a lane that worked that he stuck with.
Tom Hanks left comedy and went to drama and never really went back. Robin Williams did comedy and drama but could do it because he was gifted at drama and comedy.
Jim Carrey left comedy and went to drama and it was kind of uneven but he found a lane.
Mike Meyers was successful but outside of Austin Powers flopped and basically quit.
Eddie seems to be just ok at drama but great at comedy so he needed to find a lane but he seemed to be too all over the place.
exactly this
him retiring from stand up early fukked him
bruh needed to be on Def Jam
going 3 decades without that direct line of comedy to the people isn't good
