He got too attached to family movies. 99 was the last time his movies were really raunchy IMO and he had a hell
of a 1-2 punch with Life and Bowfinger (completely steals the movie from Steve Martin). We saw flashes of the old Eddie with Dreamgirls but that's not really a comedy movie. His Rudy Ray Moore movie comes out this year, that will be more adult humor obviously.
