In between those years......In Living Colour/ Def Comedy Jam changed comedy , and launched several new and funny comedians.
Eddie didn't release a standup special after Raw.People forgot just how talented he was..and supported the new crop of comedians. Eddie couldn't build on the momentum of his comeback film "Nutty Professor" & started releasing wack films , family friendly films, and voice overs for animated films.

Eddie allowed people to dictate what comedy he should be doing. He said fukk it after Raw since people kept on hounding him about his content
