i started watching wrestling again right around when he made his WWE return....saw sooo much hype for him and i saw alot of great Stannery on SOHH for him so of course i hopped on the bandwagon after watching a few older matches..

then he came back and dropped Orton on his head or whatever and it was a wrap. that Anderson shyt was gahbidge. caricature shyt.

Great catchphrase to start, but totally relied on it for way too long without diversifying or evolving. Seemed to have an air about him, a smugness which wasn't acting ... he believed his own hype but he was too complacent to actually build on it.

Seems way too self-aware and cocky.

People started hating him when they realized he sucks. His mic skills are vastly overrated and his in ring work was average at best. For whatever reason every once and a while the internet latches on to a crappy wrestler and they get behind him. Couple that with his flashy entrance and he had a spark for a minute. But the fans started to realize he was a one trick pony, Austin realized he cosigned a bum, and Vince couldn't afford to put a belt on a man that was terry cloth soft.

Thing is, I can't imagine any real dude tolerating that shyt. In Mark Henry's shoot with Rosenberg he chronicled his career and implied he had those kinds of run ins with those guy and he would just calmly tell them to meet him behind the stands in 15 minutes so they can "have words" and they NEVER showed up. That's why he had heat on him during his early days because he didn't "know his place" and chumped them arrogant dudes.

JBL and Holly have this "rep" for toughness, but who have they ever beaten up that was tough?

pro wrestlers have the weirdest culture..if youre drawn into a shoot with a vet you have to give it back as good as you get without actually beating their ass completely else you get heat

He never developed into what he could have been. His character basically didn't evolve for years and TNA's terrible booking didn't help matters at all.

He could have been the man in WWE if he had just been able to keep his fukking mouth shut.
