Mr Robot I feel like was the first show to start cursing on cable consistently
I think comedy central was doing that shyt for a minute.
After 11 was when they turnt up i think.
I was sittin up one night a while back watching a Katt Williams joint on CC.
He was gettin all his fukk ons and shyt.

Yeah they used to do that after midnight on the weekends.

As far primetime TV though, Walking Dead and Mr Robot really set the tome.

Basically, the FCC never banned this stuff contrary to popular belief. It's just TV is reliant on sponsors, so sponsors had to clear what level of programming they were comfortable being associated with. This day and age these sponsors are open to more in order to reach their audiences on popular shows.
