No it wasnt
“Jo Marie and Reggie at that time were very sensitive to putting Black men in dresses. They heaped that on me that day, they let me know that I was not doing our race a service by putting on that yellow dress.” - Jaleel White. That episode aired in 1990. Safe to say it was an issue back then too.

People forgetting how Dave Chappelle exposed that shyt?
As I said. Dave Chappelle changed the approach to black comedy PERIOD when he left the Chappelle Show.

We were raised off 90s self depriciating black humor on Comic View and Def Comedy Jam.

"Black folks always late, black folks don't do they job, black folks go on break WE GO ON BREAK, black folks beat they kids, black folks do this/white folks do this, sistas whats up with these weaves, I love black people but I hate nikkas"

After that Chappelle shyt that humor wasn't really cool no more cuz yt boyz can snatch bits and pieces of standup clips off the Internet and use as propaganda where as before you had to have cable plus a subscription to HBO plus be near the TV at 10PM so you REALLY had to want to see Def Comedy Jam.

Am I the only one who feels that in modern times the concept of "c00ns" was dead for years until the 2010s? I don't recall hearing anyone ever being called a c00n prior to like 2013. Yeah c00ns existed during the civil rights era but you didn't hear of them for decades until the 2010s.

Were ppl throwing around the word c00n on SOHH in the 2000s? Were any Black celebrities considered c00ns in the 90s in real time?

Some of this "bm in a dress shxt" is organically powered in our community.

Everyone has a problem with the dress shxt, but there's a bm with a wig and some ridiculous shxt going viral every month on social media.

Ever seen the comments for most of that stuff? It's us.
We share, watch, and distribute that content.

It's clear our community doesn't really have a problem with this. If we REALLY did there wouldn't be so many new people doing this same tired trope.

They do it because it works.

This doesn't make much sense people were saying Uncle Tom and unfortunately 'c00n' all throughout the 70s-90s. You don't watch old movies?

Nah, I didn't see the vast majority of old Black movies in the time period you mentioned. Only familar with 90s Black sitcoms and 70s - 90s Black Music.

And their wisdom and sense of self awareness foresaw the miserable koon future we are experiencing..they were right:snoop:

When Dave Chapelle said they tried to make him wear a dress and he refused. Suddenly refusing became a powerful stance, and accepting meant you gave into the white mans demands:mjlol:

Im not mad at it,it was perfect timing because it was being overdone. Although i dont think it was some cac conspiracy either to make black men wear dresses. Now the gay agenda is a whole different ball game.
