Probably the beginning of this decade is when the prices started to propel something serious and deadstock became the norm , because in the late 00's when I was in middle school I can remember most of the retro Jordans would still be in stock and not having to go on a scavenger hunt to cop them .All of that was deaded in 2010 and I haven't sported jordans since :manny:

live in the hood and take the bus and buy 250 dollar shoes brehs
Even if you have been driving by and seen black dudes waiting at the bus stop with $200 dollar jordans on then yes they need to get their priorities in order but otherwise that's a pretty broad generalization you just made.

It's not just the ones that "live in the hood and take the bus" but it's plenty of hipster whites and Asians who do the same thing. America is a melting pot of a lot of consumers who have champagne taste and beer money.

People who say it's stupid to buy Jordan's and shoe brands are the same ones who buy other frivolous BS which is also made overseas for pennies. Translation= People can spend their money however they see fit. I see mothafukaz camping out for smart watches, TV's, phones, etc and no one says nothing to them. When its comes to goods that black people buy, other blacks criticize and say "oh that's neega shyt"... NO shade at you breh, I'm just saying in general a lot of people need to spend more wisely.

Red, White, & Stonewashed Blue since '94
I bought white cement IV's for around $100 back in 2000. this was before they started putting the jumpman on the back. moms threw them in the garbage when I moved tho :mjcry:

The III's I bought in 2003. I think the first pair of retros I got was a pair of '89 Flights back in 2000 from a running store in Oregon who had a good Nike hookup. I remember being blown away when Nike started retroing shoes from my childhood. Now its harder finding a pair of new shoes then retro shoes.
