I could confidently say this about 20 years ago...not now. I'm always amazed when I see black folks in public pulling this - and it's always been sistas .

I grew up in my neighborhood, seeing dogs tied to a doghouse outside, day and night, rain, sleet or snow....all of this 21st century dog treatment is new to me.

If the dog is too old/disabled it would have to be pushed in a cart or stroller.

Had a coworker who had a dog that moved so slowly that the walk would've taken forever cause ol boys skeleton was crumbling from age. Good dog tho didn't seem to be in any pain.

What I find very weird and cringe are the people who talk about their dogs as though they're children. It's embarrassing for both the dog and person, and devalues the sacrifice women make in child birth and the sacrifices men make as fathers to raise their children. I dont like that shyt

Over here in the great state of Virginia, we allow our dogs to walk themselves holding their own leashes. The law is they have to have a leash on, but it says nothing about who has to hold it.
