When did Prime start showing ads when streaming movies?

I was watching Wolf of Wall Street and commercials started playing like ten minutes into the movie. It was about two minutes of commercials on total. Worse of all, I couldn’t even fast forward through the commercials.

Then they played another series of commercials 20 minutes later.

I turned the shyt off.

Amazon owns both. IMDB is their free service that they're trying to expand on but it comes with ads. Its a free add on and pretty good imo
