Oh and to people who way, ''whoever listens to rappers is a dumbass''...I guess you don't any young inner city (sometimes suburban) kids. In some circles the words of these dumb rappers carry more weight than church, parents or any politician.

Ask yourself how a ghetto youth would know about True Religions? Evisu (back in the day)?...dude...rap made Ciroc hot..Ace of Spades...Tommy Hilfiger. It's stupid to deny rap's influence. Otherwise it wouldn't be used by Fortune 500 CEOs to push everything from Sprite to Shampoo.

a lifetime of pretending to be something youre not, leaves you emotionally crippled and dead on the inside. this probably was always going to happen because when you look at the culture of rap... it went from being about having fun and something light hearted at its core.... to something about being hard and never appearing vulnerable or sensitive. if you let that mentality become of you then theres not many ways out from the psychological stress those unrealistic expectations put on you except all kinds of pain killers. a lot of these people who let unrealistic expectations of what a person is become them have already died a long time ago.

"All sellers are inevitably, and by the meaning of the word, buyers."

So... pretty much since day one of rap.

a child cant control his parental situation

Kids are in public sschool for over 6 hours a day ...and when it comes to urban areas alot of them go back to single mother homes who have to go to work...alot of times during times their kids are finished with school
So a kid spends 6 hours of the day with other kids his age group more than his parents himself and goes back home to an unstable house..and u wanna sit here on ur pharisee chair and talk all that bullshyt :stopitslime:
Next time learn and gain the humility to try and understand sht before u start condemning mufckaz to death for taking on self destructive lifestyles cuz of influence..

Lose ur stupid pride:upsetfavre:

:what: i guess i'm blessed to be smart and have 2 parents, but seriously, think about what you are saying....some RAPPERS are gonna tell you how to live life? not a politician, not a pastor, but a fukking RAPPER??? if u can't figure that shyt out for yourself, parents or not, you are destined to fail. natural selection is real bruh

no matter how fukked your parents are, you KNOW what is right through society as a whole. ur ass ain't going to jail for doing the right thing. ur ass ain't becoming a nasa scientist by doing the wrong thing. if u can't figure that out, then fukk ya life.

All it is, is something coming from the background to the forefront, that's all it is, it's not a secret agenda or anything, no conspiracy, same way it took years to see 'adult' language on network tv, or sexually explicit rap videos on MTV, I remember I used to catch little references from rappers and I'd be all excited like Shyne does yay...so do I, Beanie Sigel does percs and xan...so do I...but it would just be little lines here and there, nothing like the full on songs and shyt now, what I was talking about in the Weeknd thread, when I was out there staying up all night with a hotel room full of bloody towels in high school...there wasn't nearly as music that fully embraced that 'subculture' on a rap/r&b level....

It's a regional/mainstream/underground thing too, Three Six been talking that dope shyt forever, Lil Wyte too, a bunch of them, but on a mainstream level it's much more commonplace now. But, don't let these Rick Ross/Jeezy lines fool people, every dboy has either done it in the past, or does it currently, one thing or the other, 95% of the time.

Uh, since White Lines came out in the 80s?

The 'don't do it' parts were added to make it radio friendly but the song is very much about using/others using.

I don't think so. The lyrics are talking about how it fukks you up.

"Ticket to ride, white line highway
Tell all your friends, they can go my way
Pay your toll, sell your soul
Pound for pound costs more than gold
The longer you stay, the more you pay
My white lines go a long way
Either up your nose or through your vein
With nothin to gain except killin’ your brain

A million magic crystals, painted pure and white
A multi-million dollars almost overnight
Twice as sweet as sugar, twice as bitter as salt
And if you get hooked, baby, it's nobody else's fault, so don't do it!

A street kid gets arrested, gonna do some time
He got out three years from now just to commit more crime
A businessman is caught with 24 kilos
He’s out on bail and out of jail
And that’s the way it goes
Raah!

(Kane! Sugar! Kane! Sugar! Kane!)

Athletes rejected, governerds corrected
Gangsters, thugs and smugglers are thoroughly respected
The money gets divided
The women get excited
Now I’m broke and it’s no joke
It’s hard as hell to fight it, don’t buy it!

Little Jack Horner sitting on the corner
With no shoes and clothes
This aint funny, but he took his money
And sniffed it up his nose"
