There's a trend in Indians owning African and Caribbean restaurants in London too.

There was a viral tweet about it.
Yeah, this one seemed actually legit as they were posted up in the middle of a small African neighborhood market and everyone seemed real cool/familiar with them. They also got a whole bunch of decorations around their restaurant from I guess back when they lived out there. You can tell they were really proud of being from there.

I swear Africans spend soooo much time talking about “the west” it’s like they don’t see what China, India and the rest of Asia is doing to their continent. And I NEVER hear them blame Europeans, the ones who actually colonized them. They’re always talking about America
thats MY point...but they're getting recolonized and focused on old beef

What's stopping you or other black people around Europe from doing this.

They understand the fields they need to be in, provide that service then go onto dominate it by hiring and promoting their own until they have a monopoly over it.

Africans would welcome Black Americans as they see you as the pinacle of success for Black people around the world but it seems like we're (black europeans too) are happy to avoid Africa as a whole while other groups are running towards it to set up shop.
It seems to me that black people prefer a finished product than starting from scratch. At least when it comes to nations.

I think that black people don't want to invest in Africa for the exact same reason we don't go to India. Even African diaspora hesitate to build in other black nations. And apart from building a home for themselves , they rarely build business empires in their own homelands also. Until the recent passport breh craze, we had a similar dynamic with latin america too. But You'd gladly see loads of black people investing in china or EU or Japan or us/Canada instead.

Arabs, Indians, and Chinese have a different mindset, where they will gladly go to the least developed places and set up shop. This kind of mindset is an anathema to black people. Even in the US, in our absolute worst and bombed out neighborhoods; black people are running out like our lives depend on it, while Arabs/Indians/Chinese are running the bussiness(es) in those areas.

Its not even that.

Black Americans really just dont have the resources or controls over certain industries that can facilitate these operations.

Remember, governments are subsidizing this companies to a degree as well.

Its corporations that go over first, set the flag and then their people move in, bring extended family, connections

We are stuck in a game that by design we are not supposed to win.
