The Indian minority in Ghana controls it's economy, you can prove that? Besides obvious example like South Africa?
Both kenya and tanzania come to mind. Look at their ten richest and you have a whole lot of hindu(s) in that list of captains of industry. They control industrial base and also have huge stakes in telecom and banking in both countries.

I didn’t know even know. What country has the most living there?

When did they come?
Per capita , probabably Mauritious. But they are more complicated due to trade routes during the swahilii empire era. You would regularly have indians docking on east africa ranging from mogadishu to mombasa to zanzibar to the malagasay coast to trade spices and handicrafts. And of course slaves as well. A lot of the dark skin indians are actually descedents of indian slavery.

The brittish only made it worse, by elevating the indians which were present and importing more from their homeland as well as from other colonies in north africa or carribean.Outside of mauritious, you also have tanzania and kenya with an equal amount, but indians per capita would be higher in kenya due to the slightly lower population

Kenya-110,000

Mozambique -70,000

Tanzania -60,000

Uganda -50,000

Madagascar - 25,000

Zambia -13,000

Botswana -10,000

Zimbabwe -10,000

Seychelles -5,000

Malawi-4,000

Lesotho-4,000

I know Chinese been trying to take over Africa for a while now, but I never knew it was so many Indians there.

Reminds me of how i ran into a Indian business man while traveling last month. He told me so many Indians are all over Africa. I was like “yea maybe SOUTH Africa but that don’t count” :heh:

And he was like “no, ALL Africa” :umad:

I didn’t believe him then but i do now. :snoop:

Yeah they basically run Tanzania and Kenya.

Indians are all over the world just as much as Africans are specifically due to the British empire. It seems like history books in the USA primarily focus on African slaves being brought everywhere and don’t really do much teachings on Indian indentured servants (did I spell that right?)

Not sure if Ghana had the same impact as to why Indians are there but at this point I’m not surprised any ex-british colony has a lot of indians.

I was actually more surprised that Guadeloupe had a lot of Indians since it’s a French colony.
