First it was henny everything during the 90s/early 2000s, then went to 1800 and patron on the light tequila tip. Then puff came through with the ciroc and vodka got on top. 50 kept it going with the effen but now the rock and Bron got the dark tequila going up

I don't know if it's the popular liquor as a whole, it might be brand specific with some of these bartenders and chicks who like the design of the Clase Azul and Don Julio bottles. For me, I do tequila for shots. Only gold, I hate silver

Gold isn’t real tequila. It’s just sugar and other additives that makes the gold color and sweeter taste. The real “gold” looking tequila is anejo which gets that color because it’s aged longer. The cheap tequilas use that gold shyt.
