It's another one of those things in society that people never really know, but since everybody else says it, then it's true. I remember in high school always wondering why everybody was so infatuated with her ass.

Asses have evolved in the last 20 years. Plus we used to seeing plastic enhanced booty with lipo waistlines. Women are also heavier every year. For the late 90s J-Lo with Pdiddy had ass.
Plus lets be honest, she's one of the first non black women that had this kind of booty in mainstream America. Dominican girls that i grew up with had donks, but they didnt have any Latinas with ass except J-Lo and Selena in media.

Jlo was one of the pioneers of the phat ass movement that eventually spawned the Kardashians which helped pushed the fake ass/BBL wave we see in the media now.

Rap culture started setting America pop culture trends in the earlier 2000s and phat asses rode that wave.
