This came out in 1993 from a real popular rapper.

Every January 16th, it's "The Dreamer, The Dreamer."
And all of you say, "I have a dream; The Dreamer."
And what did he dream? It stuck him right there
And little black boys, and little white girls
Will one day hold hands together
shyt
Is that where it's at?Is that where it's at now?
Them little blacks hands are yours
You can't hold the black brothers' hands?
But you gonna grow old holdin' crackers' hands
Before you hold each other's hands?
You gonna walk with your enemy
Before you learn to walk with one another?
How sick can you be?
(Enemy)

Like the early 90s from the afrocentric crowd. They bring up how MLK cheated on his wife, or how he made people walk from Alabama to D.C. and didn't give them a ride back and he flew on a airplane. Allegedly the FBI has MLK sextapes and threaten to tell his wife and MLK said he didn't care.

white folks fukked up his legacy..... thats what happens when you let cacs tell the final story..... they either discredit you or make you seem like a weak negro

I used to be guilty of it too when I was young and ignorant... I didnt understand why he wanted to hold hands with the enemy instead of go to war....... I was wrong tho... MLK is one of the legendary ancestors... probably one of the greatest black men to ever live..... but white folks fukked up his legacy.

He was definitely more than just some peaceful hand holding negro.... he's a legend.

Cause some people wanted something to pigeonhole their leaders. MLK got more militant right after Malcolm died and started to advocate black people to invest in black owned businesses long term.

MLK knew that POWER is the only thing that mattered and wanted to close the wealth gap.
