Nothing wrong with the term biracial. Lots of people want to deny their other side and just claim Black.

You keep saying this but you're ignoring a very important piece: If you're biracial you have to have a non-black parent.

If said lightskin dude has 2 black parents obviously he would be taken aback.
We don't call every lightskin biracial:comeon:. No one calls T.I. or Beyonce biracial.
America had a one-drop rule. Having one black parent made you black. Not biracial. Not mulatto. The only place where that shyt happened was Louisiana; no other state accepted Louisiana's distinctions.

TI doesn't call himself biracial. Beyonce for damn sure does. International ad campaigns and press tell the real story. It's not just a weird exclusive weave hair dye contract with Clairol; that alleged contract is an intentional part of the misrepresentation of her racial identity outside of the States.

What I've been seeing for the better part of a decade is this nonsense called biracial history, where folks try to snatch up the pro-black heros of our past as biracial, when they were NOT living as biracial but as black. These biracials and whites are trying to subvert history, and thus the meaning of the struggle. It was a huge deal to have so many white looking to us people treated as black....to change that into biracial pride is to mute the destructiveness of white supremacy and treat it as if it had a measure of mercy. It did not, but wat white is going to admit that?

Light skin black people are not biracial and are offended when put in that category

There are more people with one black patent identifying with the biracial label because there mother is the non black parent and they identify with her, were raised by her, and don't want to reject her

Frederick Douglas and every other prominent "technical mulatto" DOS all had black mothers and therefore identified as black. Descent in the AA black community is like Jewish identity, it goes through the mother

Honestly man, it's just easier for mixed people to fit in the black column. In America there's there is no "official" mulatto category. This is not South Africa or the Dominican Republic or Brazil.

nikkas claim everybody. Whites do not.

But go ahead and be black but claim white. Whites don't believe Dominicans when Dominicans claim not to be black. They think you're not like the others, but they don't think you're one of them.

Mexicans and other Latins call themselves white. Real whites honestly believe they're in an interracial relationship when they're fukking people from Latin America. So how can two white people be an interracial relationship?

Breh, world doesn't revolve around America:skip:

This is NOT an interracial couple, that is NOT a biracial girl.
Beyonce acknowledges her racial admixture (from grandparents) but she doesn't claim to be a biracial. And even if she did that doesn't mean she's right.

Keysia Cole claimed biracial too but that was proven false

Times change. No one has to choose Black when they can't choose White.

Like Meghan Markle they will not choose anything if they must choose black. Her Jewish father didn't sit her down and say be proud to be black like yoyr mother. He said don't be black can't be white create your own box. So that's what she did -- hand draw her own box so no one would officially know.

Her soul is white. She doesn't have to be forced to say it's black. To be biracial is to be white and unable to embrace that whiteness. It's always been that way.

In 20 years, Americans will allow non-latin cacs with dark skin and African features to call themselves cacs, too. Times change.
