As you said COMPANIES are pushing it. They're treating it as a holiday and encouraging people to spend. Alphabet people (especially white men) are high earners. They've done market research and want to cash in on them. We are talking potentially billions of dollars here.

I'm just gonna say it for the people saying why doesn't it get as much attention as black history month. we live in a white country. the majority of the representatives from that community are white. The face of that community...is white. White people have money and like to pretend they care about people as long they white like them.
