There are always stereotypes grouped with different ethnicities and races not only irl but in boxing too. These guys probably go by the logic that since bare-knuckle boxing is very popular among travelers in the UK it's gonna translate to pro boxing because they box from little age. I think they had quite a lot of boxers when pro boxing was very young and they appeared throughout boxing history. But of course not automatically all of them gonna be good... but these guys thinking that a gypsy fighter gonna be smarter, "wittier" than his opponent by default because that's the stereotype. That's why many of his UK fans are hellbent that BJS gonna beat Andrade, they view BJS as a smarter fighter by default.

To be fair though it isn't that different from what I see on the Coli oftentimes, just here in regards to black fighter and it's with different stereotypes "more athletic" "better skillset" or from the EE fraternity of twitter "he will knock out everyone".

I think you are right about the hypocrisy that many of these guys are probably not as accepting to travelers outside of boxing. Many of Fury's fans were attacking AJ for his participation in BLM, which tells you about something their relation to minorities and their rights... but I also don't wanna pretend that I know how many % of those critics were Fury stans who star every traveler fighters, I just suspect there were plenty.

Fury won against the two best opponents on his resume, but aside from that, his resume leaves a lot to be desired.

He’s another guy that has mastered the business of boxing, and really knows how to play the game. I don’t know why he gets a pass for this, but either he’ll fight the mega fight, or a low tier opponent.

There’s solid guys out there. I’m not even saying he would lose to them, but he simply doesn’t fight them. He’ll fight guys like Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin until a big fight comes up.

Wilder made it easier for him too. Bulking up like that affected his speed which is crucial for his power and movement.

Most of Eddie's hate comes from him being from Essex with his Cockney Wide Boys act, which i guess in US terms a Harlem Hustler reputation about them. So people either like them for their charm , charisma and banter or think they flash kunt. No inbetween. I think that basically sums up Hearn Jr. Eddie made a star out of Dave phuckin Allen . And he's made a market for Women's boxing in the UK. He's good at job, even if he can be annoying at times.

The joke thing is, Fury is using and makes Warren relevant. With Warren, Fury can do whatever he wants and Frank will put up a bit of resistance, but end of the day he needs the Fury rub to attract new fighters.

So far his two best wins were against top guys and he beat them at them own game pretty much. Beat Wlad in a methodical cautious manner and bullied and stunted on Wilder in the rematch.
People already pointed out his missteps in previous matches but if he comes out and beats AJ it's pretty much nothing left to dispute and he probably starts getting ATG buzz
