When did you first begin using the internet?

I remember life before having internet, and most ppl I knew not having it, but I don’t remember the first time using it at all some time in the 90s tho. I do remember the first time getting DSL Internet at the crib tho. Game changer

Bruh. There's nothing worse than someone calling the house and disconnecting the internet. You at school for the whole day thinking about that song you'll have when you get home and you just see Ann error .So I used download songs at night and leave it overnight cause I know no ones calling at that time

I believe I did whatever you could do with a computer when it was first available. I was in all kinds of STEM summer programs and accelerated classes.

I can't recall the first time specifically but I graduated high school in 93 and I kinda recall having an email.address once I got to college

AOL in 98. Was all in those chatrooms. My sister and I used to fight over the Internet so moms gave us each an hour. I swear my sister did that shyt just to annoy me because by the time she was supposed to get her second hour she didn't even want to use the computer anymore. When we got DSL in like 04-05 I had my own personal computer in my room. That shyt was a game changer. My neighbors didn't have Internet so they'd come over to use my computer. I used to be heated having to let people use my computer for hours at a time.

Prior to 98 I could give two fukks about internet or computers in general.

A N64 and my power rangers action figures and I was set...didn't need nothing else to be entertained. All that changed when Toonami started playing DBZ in heavy rotation....And some of yall remember how it was a legit thing to print up Dragon Ball Z pictures off of search engines like ask jeeves. And for a while that's all the internet was for me, that place to get new dragon ball z pictures to print at home and bring to school to show off to my friends. And we'd all draw those pics during lunch and breaks.

I became heavy in internet usage in 2000 when I finally took my Dreamcast online to play Phantasy star online. And it was completely by accident since all I did was follow the prompts and enter that weird ass cable that's connected to the phone into the dreamcast....little did I know that shyt was charging the fukk out of our Ameritech phone bill



Mama beat my ass when that bill came in



But after we realized this shyt cost money we made compromises, basically if I did my chores and did basic good behavior shyt I could use the 56k lan modem for 1 hour a day.
