I mean there are people who are just NBA fans and just want to see good basketball.
Nothing wrong with that. It's a much easier way to follow the game and a lot of the national pundits are that way.

It's not a cop out. You can be a fan of the NBA and intelligently talk about the game.
The biggest problem with fandom...on here and in real life is that it usually clouds the average fan's mind and doesn't allow them to be objective with anything pertaining to their team.
