When did you first own a DVD player?

When I use to slang bootleg DVDs on the street mid 2000's. I had a neat slim player I bought for $50 then I had a portable to put in my car and stick it down with double sided tape then I had another one which played any DVD, scratched up or not. Then bought a DVD-RECORDER when I was shooting my own pornos. Got that for $200.

when i got my xbox was my first dvd player
then i spent like 120 on a dvd player that could play divx files and i was like

Rush hour 2 was the first one we owned lol.2000. It was one of them no name brand joints

I dont remember having a dedicated dvd until I bought a 4k HD blue ray player 3 years ago.But since I bought my ps2 then this will count.
back in 01 or 02...i bought a 60 dollar joint and put in my dorm...it also read R/RW discs so i was able to play some of my downloaded porn on it...memories

Not until 2004. We weren’t poor, but I’ve never been into technology.
