When did you get a bald cut?

My hairline is slowly receding and I estimate that in less than a decade I’ll be damn near Uncle Phill status.

When did you decide to say “fukk it” and cut it bald?

How rough was the transition?

The real question you should be asking is;

How old does us old heads have to be, to be comfortable and secure to rock then Patrick Stewart/Uncle Phil cut?

I think if I’m 57, I may say “fukk it”

Idk I’m not balding yet. But if I were in your shoes I’d just say fukk it and experiment. Go do exposure therapy now while you can still grow it back.

Either go full bald, shaved down (it won’t even last a week before your hair comes in) or do a super low cut just to see how it looks. Then go back to getting regular cuts. Do this like once a year, every few years, increasing with time as you lose more of your hairline.

Just get familiar and confident with it now so it doesn’t hit you like a ton of bricks later

Shaved my head at 34. Corners got weak and I didn’t want what we used to call a “happy hairline”. I can grow it out if I want but it’s cheaper for me to shave it so I pocket that money.

Shaved my shyt for the first time when I was 28.


I was getting crisp fades with the early 90's Dominique Wilkins part in it that year but I kept noticing my sides thinning. My crown was starting to get thin too.


My last cut Tone (my barber) was trying to keep my line up crispy and pushed my shyt back because my temples were getting thin. I hated how that shyt looked so I went home and took my Andis T-outliners and shaved my shyt off.


Been rocking the baldy ever since.
