That's what I been thinking.

But the pressure of seeing everybody else move out and people asking you questions like you haven't moved out yet? :sadbron:

Your 21.

I moved out at 22/23.

Save money. Get a decent job. Then move out. So many mistakes I've made by moving before the time was right.

As long as you have at least 6months rent and a decent job where your already past probation before you move out, you should be good.

I left a good job to work at a tattoo shop that just opened. Had a falling out with the lame ass owners, and was looking for work, depressed for two months.

I recently started a new warehouse job and I'm paying off my rent for the two months I missed plus the months I missed while paying off those two months. You see how that adds up?

Unless you have money, it's like living in a hole. Read the richest man in Babylon by George S. clason. Download the PDF and live by those laws. And you won't fall into the pitfalls you see people who haven't read the book fall into.

Patience is everything. And I don't mean try to rush and speed up the clock. I'm talking about the patience that catches the fruit when it falls from the tree, ripe.

Prepare for moving out. Treat living at home like you moved out. Watch the mistakes others made and solve those now.

Just read that book and do what it says. I can't make it simpler than that.

If I stuck to my saving plan before the tattoo shop, I'd be golden right now. You need to rule yourself with an iron first on these seas bro.

I'm 32 breh, so as a old nikka to a young nikka, keep your black ass at home until you finish school and have a job that pays enough. Unless you're just miserable or you're safety is in jeopardy don't move. Personally this is what I'd do if I was in your position:

  • Finish school and get a job in your career
  • Stay home and save money for a down payment for a house and buy a car cash if you don't have one
  • When you buy a house get a duplex where you live in one unit and the other unit pays for your mortgage.
If you do that by the time your 24 you'll be a home owner, have an income property, and have little to no debt. You'll be so far ahead of your friends it won't even be fair. That way you can be making 40k and be able to save 50-75% of your paycheck every month.

This is some good advice thanks man.

nikka stop worrying about bytches :dahell:

Damn that's wild. I don't trap but I know a lot of people who live that life so I've just learned from observations that life isn't for me. The people I know who trap seem like they won't be getting a college degree though. They talk about going to college every year, they take the placement tests just to never go. I feel like I should cut them off once I get my new life... well that happens when you move away anyways right? You stopped fukking with the people you knew once you went to Jacksonville?

Yeah, once I moved I really didn't fukk with the same cats anymore because we don't have anything in common and I was on some totally different shyt. When I got locked up, it was Ma Dukes who came to a nikka rescue with $5,000 lawyer and $5,000 cash for the bond. I'm not even gonna front though, a couple of homies held me down with visits and putting money on my books when I was locked up, but only a few. But I was never meant to live that life anyway, I was just young and immature. I grew up in the hood, but everybody in my fam is very smart for the most part. I got a few family members that are locked up for murder and shyt, but even they are smart as hell. It's like 2 different types of people in jail, those that are ignorant as fukk and are just destined to be in and out the system and those that are too smart to be in the position they found themselves in, but just got caught up living the wrong life. I was part of the latter.

I really beat the odds, because I know a lot of people in my position who never came back from they're mistakes or just got in too deep and could never recover. I got a homeboy who caught an armed robbery charge and got sent up the road for a minute. He's a good dude and smart as hell, but that one mistake fukked his life up forever. Then his family kid of turned they back on him. I got caught with some dope, but not as much as I could have. At one point a nikka was having half bricks in his possession. Thank God I didn't get caught with no shyt like that. I was around all kind of guns too, but never got caught with a gun either.

So yeah, you are doing the right thing by learning through observation and other peoples mistakes. A lot of people don't have that skill. They can't learn from the mishaps of others and can only learn through first hand experience. And you are correct in realizing that you shouldn't associate with people who are not on the same level as you. I only communicate with like 2 people in Jacksonville now and both of them are on the same shyt I am. We all "grew up" and are not on stupid shyt anymore. Some nikka I used to hustle with back in the day called me out of the blue a few months a go and asked me what the pounds of weed were going for in Atlanta:what: I was like nikka you still on that shyt? Some people never change.

No its not. Them bum ass bytches you fukking with should be the least of your concerns. When I was 21 my life revolved around school and passing Certification exams. bytches didn't mean shyt to me. I'd rather beat off and stay focused than spend time worrying over no broad.

Thanks.

Might look up the book tonight. I can't even lie I'm horrible with my money. Most of my money goes quick because I spend it on beer/bottles weekly. I honestly don't have anything saved so reading this book and still being at home might be a blessing in disguise

I was 21 living in a Roach motel. I wasn't bringing any bytches to my crib and besides I didn't give a fukk about them broads. My goal was getting my money right and being able to take care of myself.

Go head and move out early you can entertain thots. Don't say you weren't warned :manny:

As of right now I see myself only keeping two friends in the near future once I start my new life. One of them has been tight with me ever since my freshmen year of highschool we've just always clicked and the other friend is out of my current crew who seems to be the only one responsible. My friend whos been my guy since high school isn't part of that crew but me and him are drinking buddies and its just that type of friendship you know will last forever. But my current crew, besides the responsible one, are all fukk ups. The responsible friend and I have been in community college for quite some time now while the 5 or 6 others have been doing regular jobs or trapping. For some goofy ass reason they all wanted to go to a community college out of town, together, and my responsible friend and I. I'm like :cosby: I am already going here so whats the point. To me it seemed like none of them actually wanted to go to college just wanted to be with their buddies living outside of town. And on top of that I knew they were all making a follower and not a leader decisions, that once someone falls through with the plan they all would. Also, I already have a specific college in mind so all that extra shyt I wasn't down for.

And what do you know? One of them decided to not go. And of course it was the one who got his GED and can't stick through anything besides trapping. I seriously knew that was going to happen LOL. And want to know what happened after that? One by one everyone dropped out the idea and now everybody is "supposedly" going to my community college now. shyt like that is so frustrating when all of them nikkas is screw ups. Some of them had great positions in jobs too but fukked it up by quiting. Most of my friends are really funny dudes with a lot of charm and chirsma but put it all to waste to be all edgy and hard living the trap life when they don't need to when people liking them so much can get them places.

So I'm like once I get a new life I'm surrounding myself with new people. Most of these dudes been out of high school for years now and haven't done shyt. It's like they say surround yourself with people you want to be.

Also new life starts once I go off to college.
