sometime in 2010. 07 was a good year in hip-hop. As much as I like 808's nd Heartbreaks and Cudi's MotM, and some of the trap tapes that released. I think tht was the start. I just think that during that time the scene changed a bit more

Nah my intent wasn't to say hip hop is dead lol, I don't think it'll ever die. I just think its one of those genres that constantly change and you either adapt to the change/scene or stick to the old shyt. This is in regards to mainstream hip-hop btw, like me personally I can't adapt so I listen to the same old albums. Sometimes change could be an entire paradigm shift for people

I dont think hip hop is dead..

I think hip hop needs rappers who's character and personalities equate or surpass the artists that they are compared too...

I just dont care to listen to J.Cole or Kendrick Lamar..

Brand Nubian

Slick Rick etc

Whatever they are marketed as, the people who came before them made better music and actually had a natural personality...

So nikkas like thugga who pushes the boundaries artist wise are more appealing from a musical standpoint...

When Lil Wayne was being considered as a reasonable candidate for being GOAT. Regardless of whether that claim makes sense or not (I can't judge that), I knew that as any top rapper he would be would be copied by far less talented "mcs" : problem is, his style is easier to trick people into believing it's "hot", as long as you have a catchy beat.

Please listen to lil wanyes mixtapes if u don't think lil Wayne ain't one the greatest rappers that's a personal problem
