Kobe's skill is leveled or even superior to MJ. Problem with Kobe is that you can tell he put in a lot of work in gym which enable him to acquire all those skills and for some reason he feels that he "deserves" to beat his man on every play.
If Kobe had been more judicious in picking his spots, he'd been the best player ever.
