When Did You Realize People Were Idiots?

I think i've always had an idea people were fukking stupid, but working in retail for the first time really reinforced this feeling

Like 10 years ago. I took my car into the shop cause the tire pressure light came on.

I tell the service manager, "Yea the light came on and I tried to reset it but no go. I think it's a bad sensor."

This white dude says, "Well did you check the tire pressure to make sure it wasn't low?"

I'm thinking, " Nah fukkshyt the light came on and I intentionally ignored the possibility that the tires were *ACTUALLY* low and immediately drove to the dealership on the assumption that it was an electrical problem ."

At that point, everyone else instantly was an idiot until proven otherwise.

Subconsciously; since I was a kid. I'd either gravitate away or simply would not speak to you.
Consciously; around 21.

But much younger too...when kids in my class would say shyt like "Who reads? Only corny white kids be reading at home." All them little nikkas either dead, got kids or been to jail 1 or 2 times.

When I realized that at the core of billions of people's religious beliefs are stories of God allegedly speaking to single individuals and then people (past and present) simply accepting that these stories were true with no questions asked.
