I like both characters but if you compare them Black Panther is a King to a nation while Batman is just a culture (ninja japanese culture) appropriating rich dude in a manson with money to blow on gadgets that do all his work. I still like both. Its actually possible to like more than one thing.

thats dcs fault though. theyve been pushing batman, superman , wonder woman and friends for so long that people pretty much expect that. they also did a shytty job of getting in front of the slander that aquaman had to deal with. they are just coming to the idea that its viable to push generally unknown characters.

They still have untapped potential n the batman world by itself...
They fukkin up by tryna follow Marvel's formula because like you said all we really know is Bats Supes Amazon Lady and green Lantern . ..
Now if they wanted to eat well they should
Explore each of those characters and their origin and worlds and exploit the fukk outta em ...

honestly, its the reason why i hate that dc gets the idea its ok to reboot their worlds. theres a lot of history that they are naturally gonna leave on the table. orpheus, lagoon boy, and son of vulcan gone unless someone gets a hair across their ass that they want the characters introduced. arrowette, empress, and secret are also done. marvel is ridiculous, but their characters are always in play
