It's a number of reasons. One, our generation is less sociable. Everybody is on their phone. People aren't as sociable as they used to be. People can be big shyt online but, in real life you see them and they're dweebs. The wide majority of men are too scared to approach women, they'll only do it in social settings or online, etc. We didn't have online dating or social media to lean on 15 years ago, nikkas had to be men and step to women or go hungry. Two, social media has women gassed up. Think about all the men who try to smash everything. Now imagine thousands of them flooding a woman's inbox. Now remember before, it was just guys in her city or her hood, now it's guys from all over the world. So women don't want the average guy no more, not when she has 1000 guys hitting her up. Only problem is those men want sex, they don't want relationships, just sex, they're no different than the players from 1999 or 1989 or 2009 (even then social media wasn't as crazy), it's just now they can fukk girls from everywhere instead of hoes in their city or their block. So, you got 80% of women being fukked by 15-20% of men until they turn 30 or get pregnant, and they want a husband, so they'll start fukking with guys on their level (i.e. average men). Wanna argue? Explain why so many women have kids but, the same is not true for men? That means women are sharing men

Three, our generation is just less likely to get married and settle down. We all are non-committal. We don't want to have families. We don't even want to live in suburbs. We want to work, make money, have great careers, live in urban cities or as close to urban cities as possible, we prefer apartments, lofts, condos, townhouses close to the action to the typical American dream of a 3 bed single family. In 1970, we'd all be married at 23 years old with a wife and a kid. Now we're like 25-35 years old and alot of us STILL don't want LTRs.
