All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.

Lol at you folks lying your ass off.
So yall saying a 30 year old still has time to get into the nfl?
Or a guy that went to college and came out with a 1.0 GPA still has a chance at being a medical doctor?

Sometimes some dreams really do fade.
You adjust and move on.

My unrealistic goal was to be like the pharells....but as much equipments that I've bought and practice that I've put myself through, music is just not in me. I realize that early 20s. I can't hear or come up with original melodies to save my life. Lol.

I'm so despondent about everything. Everything I try goes totally wrong. There's no escape from this hole here. I feel drained. So far, I still haven't found a real purpose in life. Sometimes, I'm afraid to get out of bed in the morning. There's nothing to get up for.

you shoulda spent more time working around it...if you can't come up with original melodies, expand your musical palette and start incorporating melodies from others into your sound...creativity can sometimes just be biting others and putting your twist on it...you just gave up on it because your ego was defeated...

I always kinda had a poor attitude since grade school regarding "success" but within the last few years more than ever I have given up "the dream". An ignorant person would see this as a form of quitting but in reality its just a form of acceptance. Few things are actually necessary for survival in this life, those with the rat race mentality want and want want and its never enough, thats more sick to me than acceptance. I live a nice life and i am completely fine with the way things are, if bigger things come they may but I will not desire them, desire is the root is misery.

My dreams have changed drastically.

In some ways I've lived my dreams and over time I realized the life I thought I wanted wasn't for me. To be honest I think most people don't truly go after their dreams but I did and I lived it.......Most of my teenage and adult years were spent chasing that dream and although I never really obtained the success I dreamed about my dreams did come to fruition.....but at this point I'm totally over it.

In some ways Matthew Berry's (from ESPN) Book really changed my life.....He was a Hollywood screenwriter before he became a fantasy football guru and I could relate to the things that he went through in Hollywood which lead him to leave it behind. I felt like he was telling my life story just from a hollywood perspective. There's opposition and roadblocks in whatever you do but sometimes you can get into your dream life and face so much bullshyt that you find yourself thinking if this was meant to me you wouldn't face this level of resistance, you find yourself completely unhappy and you end up hating the thing you loved the most.

Maybe I'll revisit it.....but the past year has been me pretty much moving on.

The thing is now, I have new dreams and things I want to pursue that fit me a lot more. I have no regrets, don't feel bad about the way things have gone in my past. I did my best to make things happen based on what I knew at the time.
